PALO SANTO

 

Palo Santo has been traditionally and still is used for relieving common colds, flu symptoms, stress, asthma, headaches, anxiety, depression, inflammation, emotional pain and more.

Its natural, beautifully fragrant smoke is commonly used in cleansing and purification ceremonies.

Bursera graveolens, known in Spanish as palo santo. TruLuv - Palo Santo is found in the seasonally dry tropical forests of Peru. The tree belongs to the same family as frankincense and myrrh.

For thousands of years, the wood, resin, and oil have been used for medicinal purposes.

​

Internationally, palo santo is widely used to repel mosquitos. It’s also said to deter ants, termites, and flies.

​

Our Palo Santo farmers in Peru always practice responsible harvesting of only the fallen palo santo trees to help support the preservation of the palo santo species and the livelihood of the South American natives.
